Privacy Policy

Effective: October 10, 2026

Your photos stay on your device

YESTER develops and edits photos on your device. Photos, capture details, edits and settings are never sent to the developer. There is no advertising, tracking, analytics, sign-in or developer cloud storage.

Permissions

Camera access is used to take photos. Add-only Photos access is requested when you save a finished photo. Imports use Apple's system photo picker, so YESTER receives only the photos you choose. YESTER does not ask for location, microphone or contacts access.

What is kept on your device

Original files, capture time and metadata from the original, editing settings (era, adjustments, crop and rotation, frame, note and so on), favourites and app settings are stored in the app's storage. Editing never changes the original. Originals may contain location data they already had.

Saving and sharing

Finished JPEGs are saved in sRGB with location removed by default. If you turn on original location under Decorate › Info or in Settings, the original's GPS metadata is included in the finished photo and comparisons. Nothing is added when the original has no location, and no new location is collected. Other metadata in finished photos is limited to capture time, time zone and orientation. Originals you save or share keep their own metadata. Services you choose in the share sheet follow their own privacy policies.

Retention and deletion

Photos stay in the app until you delete them. Deleted photos can be restored or removed for good from Recently Deleted, which is never emptied automatically. Deleting the app removes its library and settings. Copies already saved to Photos or other services must be deleted there. Device backups and iCloud Photos follow Apple's settings and policies.

Children

YESTER collects no personal information from anyone, including children.

Changes

If this policy changes, the new effective date will appear in the app and on this page.
